Leti and Fali, two mates of the civic movement Save Arraijanal are in serious risk of entering prison for denouncing and opposing speculative maneuvers of destruction of one of the last undeveloped landscapes of the Malaga coast.
In defense of Arraijanal, located next to the urbanization Guadalmar, there has been a great resistance carried out by numerous sectors of society, which become established in a 6-month permanent camp, which has played the role of link and point of reference for all the people who did not wantthat speculation will win against the protection of nature.
After the eviction of the sixth camp for the survival of Arraijanal, we concentrated on the afternoon of May 24 to denounce the eviction and rethink the movement, when the local police of Churriana burst in with the purpose of destroying to the concentration and demobilize the protest with arbitrary arrests if needed
As a result, our activistsmates Fali and Leti have been involved in a judicial process that can take them to prison, victims of a police assembly, as usual in the protests. Even more after the activists have denounced the agents (for assault and torture) who gave them transfer to the police station, where they abused authority and exercised violence.
Coincidentally the evidence requested by the
of the activists of the security cameras of the police station car park that would demonstrate the police aggression, have not been requested by the judge due to he forgot. They may have been destroyed.
All of this happening while the irregularities of the works of the sports city in Arraijanal are pointed out and the conflict is closed to be solved in favour of protecting the
place. Among others, for the following reasons:
● The absence of environmental impact study
● The absence of flood study
● Illegal logging
● Fencing larger than the assigned perimeter. In this moment of weakness they have been forced to retreat the fence leaving outside one of the forests where centenary trees had already been logged.
● Fraudulent assignment.
● Illegal intervention and extraction in the shallow aquifer

For all these reasons, the undersigned organizations demand:
● THE ABSOLUTION OF ACTIVISTS IN DEFENSE OF
ARRAIJANAL
● THE PERMANENT PARALYSATION OF THE DESTRUCTIVE WORKS OF THE NATURAL PLACE ARRAIJANAL, and abrake on the predatory policies of the resources for the benefit of a few people.
● A change in the repressive framework in which we find ourselves and which criminalizes especially poverty and protest because of the deprivation of rights, accumulation and speculation.
